support & giving

How do I give?

You can give online through Regeneration Church (formerly CCSC) here:

You can choose to give one time, or set up recurring donations for any amount - from $25, $50 or $100 monthly, or set your own amount. It normally takes about a month for us to receive the money that is donated.

If you would like to contribute towards a specific need or ministry that we have, like feeding the hungry, etc, please email us so we can earmark your donation.

There are also other ways to give to us directly (though they may not be tax-deductible) - including PayPal, Bitcoin, or other apps, even Bank transfers. Feel free to write me if you have any questions or need more information.

You can also donate by mail via check if you prefer. Please make your check payable to Regeneration Church, and write "El Salvador" on the memo line, then mail to:

Questions about Giving:

Why Give?

As independent missionaries sent out from Calvary Chapel, our family and ministry depend on donations from many different people to meet our needs. Calvary Chapel's ministry philosophy stresses the involvement of the whole body in missions, which means that approximately 50-60% of our yearly support comes from individual donors who believe in what we are doing and want to invest in it, while the rest of our support comes from independent churches who have chosen to partner with us in our ministry.

How is my donation processed?

All of the donations that we receive are funneled through our home church, Calvary Chapel Santa Cruz, before being forwarded to us. This provides spiritual covering and financial accountability for our ministry, and there is no fee charged for this service, which means that 100% of all funds donated through them go straight to the mission field and are also 100% tax-deductible. For more information about our yearly budget and how money is spent, please contact us, we are happy to provide this information to all of our supporters.

Can I send you a package?

We love to receive special things in the mail! Who doesn't? If you would like to send us something for our family or for our ministry, please contact me for our address. There are many reliable shipping options for sending things to El Salvador either directly or through couriers.

3 Tips to Become Better Bible Teachers

3 Tips to Become Better Bible Teachers In the following article I would like to share some of the things that I have picked up along the way as I learn to teach the Bible and minister to others both in and out of the pulpit. As I look back to the beginning of my teaching ministry nearly eight years ago, these three things stand out as the most important lessons that I have learned by far - and would be the first things that I would pass on to anyone beginning to teach and preach, or just wanting to improve themselves as Bible teachers. Oh how I wish that I had learned these things from the get go; and yet, oh how blessed I am to have learned them at all  (even if imperfectly) , and doubly blessed now to be able to pass them on to you! 1. Don't just study for a sermon, study for a lifetime. "What do you do to study for your sermons?” I asked a missionary friend of mine after sitting in on one of his Bible studies. "I don’t really study for each serm

The Reality of Living in a Post Coronavirus World

When I sat down to write about what was happening here in El Salvador with the coronavirus in March, I was overwhelmed. The country had been placed under the strictest of military quarantines, and thousands of people ended up jailed for as little as taking a walk outside.  Every business was closed except the supermarket (though shopping days were assigned once a week based on ID numbers), and even essential activities have shuddered. While the arrests only lasted about two months or so before significant backlash forced the government to relax their policies, not much else has changed. The quarantine is no longer as strictly enforced and even a few essential businesses have reopened, but 95% of businesses are still closed and there is no official date for the reopening of the rest of the economy. While many are worried about what kind of impact the lockdown will have in the near future (with some predicting that we may see more deaths by starvation in the world than from Coronavirus),

The Changing tides of Ministry

While the shifting tides of the pandemic have left many out their element like fish out of water, they have also brought renewed clarity and new opportunities to the surface that weren’t previously there. Many ministries and churches have had to expand and contract in response to the pandemic, others have been left on life support. But the state of flux caused by the pandemic has also allowed many of us to pause and reflect, and hit the reset button.  Our ministry has also been going through changes this year, and what it will look like still remains to be seen. While we were astonishingly busy with Bible teaching online during the 2020 lockdown, a combination of social media censorship and waning viewership led Rebecca and I to redirect for of our resources towards face to face discipleship and Bible teaching. In October of 2020 we restarted our in-person meetings in our home, but most of the people that had used to come preferred online meeting only, suddenly Rebecca and I were meet
